606th

Special Operations Squadron

History of the 606th special Operations Squadron in Vietnam.

Great site.  However, you were missing a FAC squadron.  I was at NKP in 1970

and was a FAC in a UC-123K.  I was in the  606th SOS, 56 SOW.  We flew

night missions over the trail and also provided flares for the good guys.  I believe my squadron was a replacement for the A-26 squadron (Nimrods).  The C-123's were at NKP from around 1969 until somewhere around the mid 70's.
