F-4C 64-0739 of the 558th TFS  First in the Refueling Line

The Refueling Process

They taxied into the fuel pits after coming back from a mission and if you could keep the pilot in the cockpit long enough the first thing the crew chief did was fold the wings while the aircraft was still running, then you helped the Pilot and WSO out of the cockpits and installed the safety locks
while refueling, check the underside of the aircraft for fuel leaks (bullet holes), no leaks, finish fueling and tow back to revetment where the loaders were usually waiting with the next load.---sonny
