Operations

Flew mainly close support, and some escort and counter air, sorties against the enemy in Southeast Asia, Nov 1964-Mar 1965.  Detachment 1 flew mostly night combat sorties against North Vietnam, 25 Mar-c. 21 Nov 1968.  Squadron flew interdiction and close support sorties over North Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia, 11 Jan-15 Aug 1973.  Bombed Koh Tang Island in support of U.S. Marines during the Mayaguez Operation, 13-15 May 1975.
