History of the 3312th Pilot Training Squadron in the Vietnam War.
3312th Pilot Training Squadron (PTS) of the 3510th Flying Training Wing, Randolph Air Force Base, Texas.
3512 Pilot Training Squadron (3512 PTS) was designated and organized at Randolph Air Force Base Effective 1 June 1963. The squadron was assigned to the 3510th Flying Training Group.
The 3512 PTS was activated for the purpose of administering pilot training (T-28 and C-47 aircraft) to foreign students assigned to the 3510th Flying Training Wing (3510 FTW) under the Military Assistance Program (MAP).
This pilot training program was transferred to the 3510th FTW from Moody AFB, GA.
The 3512 Student Squadron (3512 STUS) was also designated and organized at Randolph AFB effective 1 Jun 63. (This Squadron was also assigned to the 3510th Flying Training Group).
The 3512 Student Squadron was activated for the purpose of administering academic and military training to the foreign student undergoing T-28 and C-47 aircraft pilot training.
